Le Weekly Café Trip #1

Every so often I visit a little café, have a nice hot coffee and read a good book or I get some writing done of my own book! So here’s the chat about it!

This is a new meme I’m hoping to do on the blog every once in a while, to tell you about updates in reading goals and share the café feeling atmosphere!!

𝓣𝓻𝔂 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓔𝓼𝓹𝓻𝓮𝓼𝓼𝓸~

What do you like to drink when you go to a cafe? I usually get coffee, but tea is a second choice- and then I’m constantly trying new ones!

This week I cheated and went to a Starbucks near a town I was visiting, surprisingly though, it was a smaller coffee shop so it added a nice little touch to the café atmosphere. 🙂

My favorite drink at Starbucks is one of three options: a Caramel Frappucino, a Caramel Macchiato, or a White Chocolate Mocha! ❤ ❤

Now when reading (or writing) at a café, we all have different preferences.

People watching, for instance, is one either we don’t realize we’re doing or we know we’re doing it and that’s part of why we’re there. Such as when I’m writing, I’ll go to a café and people watch.

Some of us are there to study for school- though I usually go to my Library’s study rooms because I typically need more quiet for school. But some of us need the noise to focus, I have a friend who has to listen to music for college homework.

And then the reading preferences are different for each of us too!

*Some of us will bring a large Harry Potter book and get totally immersed.

*Some of us bring a smaller book or ebook that doesn’t require a lot of your attention and focus.

I’m a moody book reader, so it varies for me. This week I took The Kindred Woods by Erin Forbes for a ride and got a bit farther in it!

”Behind her gentle character, the strength of armor was found.”

– Fire and Ice book 3: The Kindred Woods by Erin Forbes

Forbes’ writing has more of mystical and whimsical feel to it, so it’s definitely one that requires more focus as you read it. But I just love the beautiful quotes from it!!

”All proper libraries include a trace of everlasting magic.”

– Fire and Ice book 3: The Kindred Woods by Erin Forbes

This is the third book in the series that came out May 1st, and it’s great to jump back into a fantasy series. How long does it usually take for you to finish a series??

I seem to have two moods: Finish the whole series in a few days, or take more than a year to finish the series. There is no in-between.

What do you like to read when you go to a café?? What’s your choice of drink when reading?

Have you heard of Erin Forbes’ debut series, Fire and Ice?

Thanks for reading!!
