The Sunday Post #5

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer, It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

We got back from our trip not too long ago, and while I missed the family members and friends there, as well as the place where we grew up- I’m so glad to be back!! 🙂 I really wish my grandparents would consider moving to live with us.

Since we watched what movies we could while we were there (we rarely go to the movies at home), I imagine it will be quite a while before we go to watch any others. Which reminds me, did anyone else see the trailer for Stephen King’s The Shining‘s sequel?? It’s called Doctor Sleep!!

Here’s the trailer!

Lately I’ve been in a (rather late) Spring Cleaning mood, so I’ve been going through my bookshelves and getting rid of quite a few of them- getting them ready for giveaways and donating them mostly.

That ought to make my TBR mountain go down at least a bit! Lol

Some that are leaving my house soon include:

An Ember In The Ashes by Sabaa Tahir

Wake by Amanda Hocking

Orleans by Sherri L. Smith

The Fault In Our Stars by John Green

And last week’s Sunday, I was so busy with Father’s Day I didn’t post! The plan had been for my family to wake up early and head to the beach for a morning picnic (my father’s favorite place), but some things happened and we ended up eating at a restaurant he picked and then renting some movies to watch together instead! ❤

Hope you all had a great Father’s Day with your dads!! 😀 Have a lovely day!!

Thanks for reading!!

  1. HANG ON… HOW DID I NOT KNOW THERE WAS A SEQUEL TO THE SHINING???? Am I living under a rock??? Doctor Sleep LITERALLY went over my head? I didn’t even know about it? Oh my gosh, I’m stunned. I’m lucky it wasn’t a snake, or else it might have bit me. That being said, I hope your week is good!
