I don’t believe I’ve mentioned it before, but I’m a huge Marvel fan (and have been for awhile with my whole family).
SO needless to say, I’ve got thoughts and a lot of things to talk about now that Avengers: Endgame is out!
Don’t worry though, even if you haven’t seen the movie this post won’t have any spoilers! If anything I’ll be extremely vague 😀
Now first off, I personally know people that say you have to watch all the Marvel movies before watching the Avengers movies.
I’d like to address that while that might be true to an extent, it is such a better experience having watched all the other movies (yes, that will take time). You get so many inside jokes, you understand so much more and you care so much more for the characters and their developments! I personally watch every movie and all the credit scenes.
BUT not everyone started getting into the Marvel franchise until recently- and that was 11 years ago that the newer movies and series started coming out.
Do we have the time to cram all 20 movies (that number includes Endgame!) in and properly enjoy them before watching the newest one just came out?? No, but you can always go back and re-watch everything and understand all the inside jokes later on 🙂
**And also, for those who have not watched Endgame– you might want to catch up on some of these past movies (Thor: The Dark World, Captain America, Captain Marvel, Avengers: Infinity War). **
Avengers: Endgame was not the end of the Marvel Universe as some people previously thought, much to my own relief, it’s simply the end of the Avengers- of the original team we rooted for up til the end. It’s ending was perfect, though also like a healthy does of depression. Okay?
While I’m sad it’s over, I’m so happy with the way it ended- not all of it, but enough that I know to never doubt Marvel’s way of tying up a great movie series again.
❤ ❤ <3, Moving on…
I really liked the parts with Nebula, seeing her without Gamora shows us how much she’s changed and is still changing because of the sister she lost. The hardest character to watch was probably Clint, and you’ll know why when you watch it is all I can say 😦
Now, the movie is 3 hours long and there was (sadly) no ending credit scene 😦 Believe me, I waited even after they told us.
After Infinity War, I was more worried they would mess up the movies or something- especially because I didn’t care for Captain Marvel very much. (It turned out to really just be filler.) I was nervous it just wouldn’t be as good as in the past.
But I was proven wrong!!
The actors brought their characters to life yet again and made me fall in love all over again! Their humor and comments throughout the movie brought laughter and inside jokes from past movies, and it fit each of them so well.
Another thing though, is that Endgame takes place quite a bit after the last movie, so our beloved team has changed quite a bit- and in some cases drastically. But they’re the same on the inside and it shows!
The plot took a new turn, and just plot twisted my mind- but I loved it to the end!!
<spoiler>Only thing is… I think they may have messed up their timeline. They killed the Thanos from the past at the end, so… what then?
Another thing, when they messed up after the battle in the first Avengers movie- Loki got away with the tesseract, which did not happen originally.
So even though this may be the last Avengers movie, Marvel is clearly still planning for the next few movies.>/spoiler>
I’m excited to see what Marvel has next, which is now no longer a secret- Spider Man 2: Far From Home. While there were a lot of theories about this movie- such as if it would take place when Peter was… ashes and in another dimension or not, but the trailers have (thankfully) cleared that mess up for us.
What were your thoughts on Endgame?? (PLEASE put ”Spoilers” in your comment if you need to!)
What was your favorite Avengers movie up to date???
Thanks for reading loves!!
