Top 8 Gifts for Bookish People~

What’s on your list??

We all love getting gifts for people we care about, right? But sometimes they can be super hard to shop for! Their tastes change, they might already have what you were planning on getting them, or what they love is just really out of your zone!

Bookish people are rather hard to shop for, everybody has different tastes when it comes to reading and you don’t know what they do or don’t want! As a bookish person myself, I can’t tell you how many times someone gets me a book as a present that I would absolutely never read. But I can’t get rid of it for at least four years because it was a gift.

So here’s a guide to the top 8 gifts you can get for the book lover in your life! ❤

Any book lover that drinks coffee will appreciate this Happiness in Cup & Book bag and matching coffee cup!

I actually got a coffee cup just like this recently from a great friend of mine, and I use it almost everyday now. (The best part for those #bookstagram lovers, is that it matches with every book cover!)

Does your book lover love to wear interesting socks?

Do they look bookish images?

If it’s a yes to the above questions, Bookish Long Socks are the way to go. I know several bookish people that are obsessed with creative socks and will forever be wearing a pair!

Note: Does that look like the Beauty and the Beast library to anyone else???

😀

A bookish laptop cover is on my personal wish list, and I’ve only heard good things about this specific product! ❤ Though of course there’s lots of other laptop covers that they might love even more than this one!

On the right is a Pride and Prejudice Book Scarf, but any bookish scarf is always a perfect gift!

There’s Sherlock Holmes bookish scarfs just like this one, or other Jane Austen ones 🙂 Just find out what your bookworm’s favorite novel or author is- and you’re sure to find one!

And then of course, if they love Harry Potter at all- these Dobby is Free socks will make them hug you for sure!

(How does someone not love Dobby???)

How about a Bookish Coloring Book specifically for Book Lovers??

And Amazon actually happens to have a option to look through some of the pages, so you know what kind of bookish drawings will be in it!! ❤

Starry Meadows is one of my favorite online shops that do bookish products, to the left are some Wizard of Oz boots, but there are of course multiple designs even for those.

I personally love the Alice in Wonderland dresses, & the Peter Pan pillow cases! ❤ ❤ ❤

Literary Book Gifts is another favorite of mine, much like the online shop mentioned above, but this one specifically is more classics with plainer tones and colors.

The site actually has a section specifically for book lovers! 😀

Lots of T-shirts with classic prints for book lovers or Tote bags- such as the Little Women tote bag on the right.

These are just at the top of the list!

Hope this helps as a reference for any of you in the future that continuously have to shop for book lovers & wishing you lots of luck with your gift shopping whether for birthdays, anniversaries, or holidays!

Thanks for reading!!

Marvel Mania | Thoughts on Avengers & All the Above!

I don’t believe I’ve mentioned it before, but I’m a huge Marvel fan (and have been for awhile with my whole family).

SO needless to say, I’ve got thoughts and a lot of things to talk about now that Avengers: Endgame is out!

Don’t worry though, even if you haven’t seen the movie this post won’t have any spoilers! If anything I’ll be extremely vague 😀

Now first off, I personally know people that say you have to watch all the Marvel movies before watching the Avengers movies.

I’d like to address that while that might be true to an extent, it is such a better experience having watched all the other movies (yes, that will take time). You get so many inside jokes, you understand so much more and you care so much more for the characters and their developments! I personally watch every movie and all the credit scenes.

BUT not everyone started getting into the Marvel franchise until recently- and that was 11 years ago that the newer movies and series started coming out.

Do we have the time to cram all 20 movies (that number includes Endgame!) in and properly enjoy them before watching the newest one just came out?? No, but you can always go back and re-watch everything and understand all the inside jokes later on 🙂

**And also, for those who have not watched Endgame– you might want to catch up on some of these past movies (Thor: The Dark World, Captain America, Captain Marvel, Avengers: Infinity War). **

Avengers: Endgame was not the end of the Marvel Universe as some people previously thought, much to my own relief, it’s simply the end of the Avengers- of the original team we rooted for up til the end. It’s ending was perfect, though also like a healthy does of depression. Okay?

While I’m sad it’s over, I’m so happy with the way it ended- not all of it, but enough that I know to never doubt Marvel’s way of tying up a great movie series again.

❤ ❤ <3, Moving on…

I really liked the parts with Nebula, seeing her without Gamora shows us how much she’s changed and is still changing because of the sister she lost. The hardest character to watch was probably Clint, and you’ll know why when you watch it is all I can say 😦

Now, the movie is 3 hours long and there was (sadly) no ending credit scene 😦 Believe me, I waited even after they told us.

After Infinity War, I was more worried they would mess up the movies or something- especially because I didn’t care for Captain Marvel very much. (It turned out to really just be filler.) I was nervous it just wouldn’t be as good as in the past.

But I was proven wrong!!

The actors brought their characters to life yet again and made me fall in love all over again! Their humor and comments throughout the movie brought laughter and inside jokes from past movies, and it fit each of them so well.

Another thing though, is that Endgame takes place quite a bit after the last movie, so our beloved team has changed quite a bit- and in some cases drastically. But they’re the same on the inside and it shows!

The plot took a new turn, and just plot twisted my mind- but I loved it to the end!!

SPOILER TIME

<spoiler>Only thing is… I think they may have messed up their timeline. They killed the Thanos from the past at the end, so… what then?

Another thing, when they messed up after the battle in the first Avengers movie- Loki got away with the tesseract, which did not happen originally.

So even though this may be the last Avengers movie, Marvel is clearly still planning for the next few movies.>/spoiler>

SPOILERS OVER

I’m excited to see what Marvel has next, which is now no longer a secret- Spider Man 2: Far From Home. While there were a lot of theories about this movie- such as if it would take place when Peter was… ashes and in another dimension or not, but the trailers have (thankfully) cleared that mess up for us.

What were your thoughts on Endgame?? (PLEASE put ”Spoilers” in your comment if you need to!)

What was your favorite Avengers movie up to date???

❤

Thanks for reading loves!!

Sunday Post #1

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer, It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

I recently went to watch 𝔸𝕧𝕖𝕟𝕘𝕖𝕣𝕤: 𝔼𝕟𝕕𝕘𝕒𝕞𝕖 and was blown away!! (NO SPOILERS!!)

But immediately after my family and I started to debate different theories and such for the Marvel Universe (because we’re those poeple xD). I definitely suggest watching/renting this movie as soon as you can!

𝑀𝑜𝓉𝒽𝑒𝓇’𝓈 𝒟𝒶𝓎 was a wonderful success! I was so busy working two jobs (and a few other things) this year I didn’t have as much time as usual to work on my mother’s gift.

In the past I’ve always gotten her something homemade that would last a long time, was something important she could use and would love.
(Ex: 𝘈 𝘴𝘤𝘳𝘢𝘱𝘣𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘰𝘧 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘧𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘦𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘩𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦, 𝘢 𝘬𝘦𝘦𝘱𝘴𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘴 𝘤𝘪𝘨𝘢𝘳 𝘣𝘰𝘹 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘐 𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘶𝘵 𝘢 𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘤 𝘣𝘰𝘹 𝘪𝘯, 𝘦𝘵𝘤.)

This year she’s been making plans for a garden at our new house, and she’s gotten a good start on some of that thanks to some family friends- but she was looking at books for what kind of flowers to put in the flowerbed around our house! So instead of a bouquet (which I couldn’t afford) that would quickly die off, I got her a Azalea plant that has started to bloom and grow very nicely! ❤

Spoiler: She loved it!!

❤ ❤ ❤

I also got a new phone which I love, thanks to my wonderful best friend & aunt!! ❤ ❤

I’ve been using a flip-phone so long, it’s taking and adjustment Lol. But I got a super cute phone case for it!

I just love it!!!

Now that it’s summer, I’ve gotten to go to the beach a few times with my family. Even though we live by the ocean, it’s rather hard finding the time to go when it’s not a chaos schedule though 😦

And I’ll admit I’m not always up for going to the ocean, unless it’s for a long amount of time that we’ll be there!

I haven’t updated too much recently, but I’m planning some more blog posts soon for you guys!

What has your Sunday been like?

Thanks for reading & have a lovely day!!
